Poster for an exhibition called "Facelift", where 40 image makers were asked to do 1 letter of the alphabet. I got the letter "L". It's not very easy to read, but the text inside my "L" explains where the letter comes from (taken from the Wikipedia website).
"The letter L is derived ultimately from the Semitic crook or goad which stood for l. This originally may have been based on an Egyptian hieroglyph that was adapted by Semites for alphabetic purposes."
